New York, NY (December 18, 2013) As part of its ongoing commitment to give back to the community, the growth-stage social enterprise, FraMiATi.com, today announced the winners of the FraMiATi Give Back Program for the Fourth Quarter of 2013.
FraMiATi’s Give Back is a social media-based philanthropic event featured on FraMiATi’s Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn pages where the the public is put in control. From October 27 through #GivingTuesday, the public voted for one of the nine educational foundations established by the National Pan-Hellenic Council fraternities and sororities. Throughout the campaign, FraMiATi’s Give Back was extensively advertised online to ensure that it reached a diverse and large number of voters.At the end of the five-week campaign, $1,750 was awarded: $1,000 to the charity with the most votes; $500 to the second-place charity; and $250 to the third-place charity. - 1st Place: Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation;
- 2nd Place: Alpha Phi Alpha Education Foundation and
- 3rd Place: Delta Sigma Theta Research and Educational Foundation .
On December 18, 2013 at the City University of New York, the ladies of Lambda Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated (pictured above) accepted the $1,000 donation on behalf of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation.
